I have been researching and facilitating participatory mapping projects since 2010, starting with an independent study in undergrad followed by a fully funded research fellowship in the Eastern Caribbean.
For my master's thesis I focused on the value of participatory mapping in small island developing states (SIDS) and its use in addressing climate change in regions that lack scale-appropriate geospatial data.
I co-founded and completed a four-year term as a Director-at-Large for the International Society for Participatory Mapping (ISPM).
I co-authored the introductory chapter in Evaluating Participatory Mapping Software and the chapter on Participatory Mapping in the International Encyclopedia of Geography.
